John & Phyllis Smith
John E. Smith is a 7th generation Henry County, Kentucky farmer. His wife, Phyllis Haag Smith, has over 40 years working in health care with 20 of those years in the complimentary health care field.
They became licensed growers of industrial hemp in 2016. After becoming licensed processors under the Kentucky Department of Agriculture Industrial Hemp research pilot program, Essentially Hemp began in December of 2017.

This is due to the new Federal Regulations that will make all my products illegal in Nov 2026, and the high costs of KY License fees in the Hemp Program, and the cost of the new KY Drug and Supplement Program that was put in place to regulate and register CBD .products. My costs have become too prohibitive for me to continue. We are very sorry to discontinue our pure and safe beneficial CBD oils, balms and G's Bug and Bee Soothing oil. All products are 30% off.
